Madrid Iowa
It's a real honor to member of the Army of The Southwest. The ASW is a great group of very knowledgeable reenactors from Iowa. We attended the Madrid Iowa Civil War Days. The best part of our events is talking to all the visitors and spectators. There was a great exchange of knowledge, and the crowd enjoyed the battle and the cannon firing both during the battle and cannon demonstrations.

A Yankee Sing along, Rally Round the FLAG! HUZAH!
My traveling display: It contains copies of Haper's Weekly Magazine Cover "woodcuts" from every year of the war 1861, 1862, 1863 and 1864. In the display are authentic artifacts, reproductions weapons, actual recovered ordnance, GAR medals, Sons of Union Veterans Medals, and photographs. The artifacts correspond to each year of the war. I use these to discuss various battles, political intrigue and figures of the American Civil War. (DIXIE plays in the background)
